Living between art and multiple sclerosis
Some stories stay hidden.
Some emotions don’t come out as words.
And some days, silence holds too much.
That’s when I turn to art, not to escape, but to be present.
That’s how Layers that Speak was born.
One brushstroke at a time, it helped me release what I had held in for too long.
These are layers of life, not just paint
Each layer came from an emotion I had carried.
I didn’t try to control the result.
Instead, I followed what my heart needed to say.
At first, I just needed to let go.
Later, I realized that the painting was guiding me, gently, toward healing.
With every movement of the brush, I released self-doubt and shame.
I also honored quiet moments of strength that had gone unnoticed.
There’s a particular spot on the canvas I always return to.
It holds the memory of a day when I couldn’t speak but I could still create.
That, to me, is power.
Painting became my way to listen
More than expressing, this process helped me hear myself again.
I didn’t need to explain or justify.
The textures became words.
The colors revealed truths I had forgotten.
This artwork grew slowly, like we often do, through small steps, through stillness, through tears.
Why it may speak to you too
This isn’t a loud piece.
But if something inside you shifts as you look at it, that’s not a coincidence.
Maybe you’ve also grown quietly.
Maybe you’ve had to be strong without applause.
If so, this piece understands you.
It holds space, it reminds. It uplifts.
Does it feel like it belongs with you?
Layers that Speak is now available.
If it feels like it could become part of your home or your journey, I’d love to talk.
No pressure. Just a real conversation between stories that recognize each other.
Let’s connect.
