The process behind this piece began with paper, gesso, and texture paste. Using stencils, I created organic patterns that rise from the canvas. These textured elements give the painting depth and tactility, inviting you to not only see the story but also feel it.
To build the background, I used acrylic inks mixed with water. The colors; blue, turquoise, and yellow; were allowed to flow naturally, blending into one another without force. This technique mirrors the emotional movement I experienced while creating it. As the inks dried, they settled into soft transitions and unexpected shapes, much like healing does.
Although she says nothing, the woman speaks through presence alone. She stands not in defiance, but in peace. And in that quiet, she shines.
