Living between art and multiple sclerosis
The Moment Art Became a Mirror
Sometimes, healing doesn’t arrive with grand gestures, it unfolds quietly, one layer at a time. Golden Gaze was born from one of those moments when I finally saw my reflection not as weakness, but as transformation.
Living with multiple sclerosis has changed the rhythm of my days, yet it also deepened my connection with art. Some mornings begin slower; my hands move differently, but my creativity flows more intentionally. Through painting, I discovered that healing often hides in the smallest gestures: in the motion of a brush, in the patience of layering, or in the courage to begin again.
Although my body sometimes demands rest, my art keeps me grounded. It allows me to express what words cannot always hold… resilience, uncertainty, and gratitude. Art became a mirror that reflects not what I’ve lost, but what I continue to rediscover within myself.
Creating Through Patience and Presence
The process of Golden Gaze felt like a meditation in motion. I began with collage and gesso to build texture and depth, leaving fragments exposed as gentle reminders of imperfection. Then, I added powdered pigments activated with water, letting them move freely, almost like thoughts finding direction.
Afterward, acrylics gave shape to her form, while oil paint softened transitions, adding warmth and glow to her skin. The golden tones became symbols of light after darkness, proof that even through limitations, creativity finds its way.
The Power of Looking Forward
Her green eyes surrounded by sunflowers, represent the strength to look forward despite uncertainty. Each petal reflects the courage to stand tall again, no matter how many storms have passed. Through this piece, I wanted to capture that moment when pain transforms into peace… when you finally realize that your story still shines.
An Invitation to Pause and Reflect
Golden Gaze reminds us that beauty often begins where we choose to slow down. So take a breath, allow yourself to rest, and remember: your inner light is never gone; it’s only waiting to return.
