Finding Light Beyond the Horizon

Living between art and multiple sclerosis

The Search for Meaning in Stillness

There’s a special kind of strength that blooms when we stop running from life’s changes and start facing them with open eyes. Golden Gaze was born from that moment, a quiet pause between what was and what’s yet to come.

When I began this painting, I wanted her eyes to look beyond the horizon, searching for something unseen yet deeply felt. Her gaze holds both longing and peace, like a whisper that says, “I’m still here, and I’m still becoming.”

Painting Through the Layers of Healing

Living with multiple sclerosis has changed how I move, paint, and even see light. Some days, my hands tremble or my body slows down, yet those moments have taught me patience and presence. Art became my way of listening, of letting emotions find shape and color instead of staying trapped inside.

The process of Golden Gaze mirrors that healing. I began with collage and gesso to give the canvas depth, leaving fragments visible like traces of memory. Then, powdered pigments and acrylics brought movement, while oil paints added warmth and softness. Each layer felt like a small victory, a quiet reminder that healing takes time but always leads to beauty.

The Woman Within the Golden Blooms

Her green eyes reflect determination, her curls frame her face like rays of light, and the golden sunflowers around her symbolize renewal. Together, they create a portrait of strength, not loud or perfect, but deeply human.

An Invitation to Rediscover Your Own Light

We all face moments when we lose sight of our glow. Golden Gaze reminds us that the light never disappears; it only waits for us to turn toward it again.
