The Creative Process
The process began with collage. Some fragments remain visible, and therefore, they add raw honesty to the portrait. Next, spray paint created motion and energy. After that, acrylics shaped the central figure. Finally, oil paints enriched the details with depth. Together, these stages form a dynamic composition, and as a result, they mirror both strength and vulnerability.
The Woman at the Center
The artwork portrays a plus-size woman with short dark hair and expressive hazel eyes. Her gaze is gentle; however, it feels deeply inquisitive. She is surrounded by blue hydrangeas, which symbolize gratitude and emotional depth. In addition, a colorful hummingbird hovers nearby, and this detail adds joy, hope, and a reminder of life’s delicate balance.
Living with Multiple Sclerosis
Living with multiple sclerosis has shaped my artistic journey. Although the condition brings challenges, art helps me process emotions and release stress. In fact, painting allows me to shift focus from what I cannot do to what my hands and creativity can achieve. For this reason, each brushstroke becomes a reminder of resilience and personal strength.
